Our Support
From breastfeeding to maternal mental health, we host support groups for all stages of parenthood. Athens Parent Wellbeing is here for you.
Our mission is to promote the mental well-being of parents and caregivers throughout pregnancy and postpartum years across Northeast Georgia by providing transformative education, vital resources and a continuum of support.
Offering therapy & peer support to Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Greene, Hart, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe and Walton counties.
I believe we all could benefit from therapy, and after becoming a parent that need may grow. Shifting your focus to keeping two (or more) humans alive instead of just you is hard work! Between hormonal changes and relationship changes this time is unlike any other in your life. Even if you have struggled with mental health in the past, during this time, things may feel different. You don't have to go down this path alone.
We offer a variety of classes aimed at equipping you with the tools you need right where you are! Our classes include Prenatal Yoga, Mama Baby Yoga, Birth, Pregnancy & Newborn Life as well as Parenting Classes.
Our Breastfeeding Support groups, New Mamas groups & Maternal Mental Health groups meet weekly to encourage & help one another. We also have many other community-minded groups such as storytime, playgroups & peer support!
Athens Parent Wellbeing exists to promote the mental well-being of mothers and families throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period in the Athens area by providing education, resources, and support.

My fiance and I stopped by yesterday for shoes for our daughter. Long story short, they were all absolutely phenomenal! They went completely out of their way and went beyond (lol), above and beyond! I would highly recommend them to anyone with kids! The staff there are respectful, caring, understanding, non-judgmental, and they really seem eager to help those in need and it brings them joy to do so. It really shows. The experience and interaction reminded me that my faith in humanity hasn't been wasted or misplaced! I highly recommend you, at the very least, stop by to look around and have a chat about what programs and special opportunities they offer and support.
